Regions Bank Continues Atlanta-Area Investments with New Hamilton Mill Branch

Modern location in Buford provides customized service, more convenient technology.

By Veleka Finch | February 4, 2021

ATLANTA – Feb. 4, 2021 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced the opening of its new Hamilton Mill branch in Buford, where local bankers provide personal service enhanced by modernized, user-friendly technology.

The branch is at the corner of Hamilton Mill Road and Ridge Road and is the latest example of Regions’ commitment to providing more modern locations built around personal service and an improved customer experience.

“In Metro Atlanta, Regions is becoming increasingly well known for the innovation and convenience that we bring to modern banking,” said Bill Linginfelter, market executive for Regions Bank in Atlanta. “The tools available in this new branch are an extension of the commitment by our local bankers to tailor services to each customer’s individual banking needs while providing more modern technology that makes banking easier.”

Customers are greeted personally by a Regions banker as they enter the new branch. There is no waiting in a traditional teller line. Instead, financial professionals stand ready to welcome clients and have in-depth conversations about achieving short-term and long-term financial goals.

The branch is also the latest in the Atlanta area to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATMs, commonly referred to as VTMs.

Through either a walk-up VTM or a drive-up VTM, customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

“The VTMs are essentially an extension of our team. It’s great to walk a customer out to our lobby VTM or direct them to our drive-up VTM to let them know there’s a person to see and talk to until as late as 9 on weeknights and 6 on the weekends,” said Raquel Smith, branch manager. “Most customers have been floored to learn about this service. It truly sets Regions apart in Atlanta.”

The location also includes a drive-up DepositSmart ATM that can be used to withdraw cash or make deposits of checks or cash at any time, around the clock.

“The coronavirus pandemic has raised the standard of personalized customer service – helping customers to bank how they want, when they want,” said Mia Hubbard, consumer banking manager. “We find people especially appreciate the VTM and DepositSmart options because they can get customized service in a socially distant manner. Our technology allows us to combine speed and convenience with our commitment to meet unique needs and help improve the financial well-being of each local Regions customer.”

While in-person services are available during regular branch hours, customers are encouraged to use the Make an Appointment feature on Regions.com ahead of their visit as Regions locations continue to limit capacity as a safety precaution amid COVID-19.
